Change in Metadata Requirements

I would like to inform you about some important changes our team will be making to our platform in response to some DSPs’ recent requirements regarding the inclusion of the lyricist role metadata at the track level.

Here are the specific changes we are implementing:

– The inclusion of the lyricist role at the track level will now be mandatory for tracks that include lyrics (same case as the composer).

– For instrumental tracks without lyrics, please select the “instrumental” option from the language dropdown menu. Please note that “instrumental” will now be available in the language dropdown menu at the track level.

– The language at the album level will now correspond to the metadata language (e.g., title, etc.). This means that if a release is instrumental, you will need to configure the title’s language at the album level.

– The language at the track level will relate to the language of the lyrics.

These changes will be implemented on Monday, May 29th.

It’s important to note that these changes also apply to the Bulk Upload tool. Therefore, please ensure that the CSV files are configured appropriately for successful processing by our platform.
